Please join us for a special FCMI presentation  (Thursday), November 13, at 4:00 pm at Binkley Baptist church or on Zoom on Trauma, Disaster, and Mental Health. In the aftermath of severe flooding from Tropical Storm Chantal, Kim Woodward, the Orange County EMS Division Chief, and Heather Palmateer, the Chapel Hill Police Department's Lead Crisis Counselor will explore how people react after a traumatic event, how first responders are trained to handle the affected person's emotional reaction to the trauma, and what resources are recommended to them. On the flip side, how are first responders trained to handle their own emotional responses to the traumatic event, and how can your local faith community help in your county after a traumatic natural disaster?
