Faith Connections on Mental Illness (FCMI) is sponsoring a FREE Suicide Prevention Training, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Location: St. Thomas More. 940 Carmichael St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 Just like CPR, QPR can save lives. In one short session (1.5 hours) you can learn 3 (three) simple steps that may help avert tragedy and direct a person in crisis to the professional care they need. QPR's mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. This training is suitable for adults of any age and outlines the specific steps and dialogue to use when helping someone who appears to be thinking about ending their life.
