Friday, December 10, 2021:
"Youth Mental Health First Aid"

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This 6-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

The course will take place on Friday December 10, 2021 at St Thomas More Church, 940 Carmichael Street, Chapel Hill. The one-day training will last from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The in-training person cost is $10.00 and includes lunch. If you are interested, please let us know by sending your EMAIL to: [email protected].  Registration is limited to 15 people and is required in advance.  This class is supplemented by funds from Faith Connections on Mental Illness. More information about the training is located at: Youth - Mental Health First Aid or contact Marianne Mitchell at [email protected].

Sunday, May 2, 2021: "Ask Questions, Get Answers"
