Mrs. Bane assumed her current duties as the 2d Marine Division Embedded Prevention Behavioral Health Capability Prevention (EPBHC) Analyst in January 2021 and assumed the additional duty of the G-10 Acting AC/S in April 2022.
Prior to assuming her current duties, Mrs. Bane was the Embedded Prevention Behavioral Health Capability Specialist for 8th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division since 2019. During her time at 8th Marines, by special request, Mrs. Bane accompanied the Commanding Officer and leadership team to ITX and is the only EPBHC that has attended a large scale exercise of this nature. From 2017 to 2019, Mrs. Bane was a Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) and completed assignments at the School of Infantry East, Infantry Training Battalion, 2d Tanks, 2d Marine Division and Headquarters Battalion, 2d Marine Division. As an MFLC, Mrs. Bane received a Certificate of Commendation for outstanding achievement in performance of her duties demonstrating relentless and enduring support to Marines and family members, an award for her dedication to leadership, and by special request, served as the 2d Marine Division G-10’s Assistant Chief of Staff Advisor on behavioral health, prevention and treatment and the use of research and outcome data. Prior to working with Marines, Sailors, and families, Mrs. Bane was the Clinical Director of two of the largest mental health and substance abuse clinics in the East from 2007-2015, co-owned a successful private practice providing behavioral health and substance abuse counseling and treatment services from 2008-2015, and an adjunct instructor in the Department of Addictions Studies at East Carolina University. Mrs. Bane earned a Dual Master’s of Science degree in Clinical and Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University and a Dual Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology and Rehabilitation Studies from East Carolina University graduating Magna Cum Laude. Additionally, Mrs. Bane is a Licensed Mental Health Provider and maintains the following licenses and certificates: Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Clinical Military Counselor. Mrs. Bane currently resides in Jacksonville, North Carolina with her husband Jim. Ms. Bane and her husband have two adult children and two grandchildren. |
