Advent and Christmas bring an array of feelings, which include sorrow and loneliness for loved ones, grief for friendships and times past. We may be supporting a loved one whose health is fading or feeling divided from family members. We also grieve for the world–for immigrants, orphans, and all who long for home. Join our ministers in a service of prayer, poetry, song, and scripture as we listen together to our journeys of loss in light of God’s nearness in the birth of Jesus.

University United Methodist Church Christmas is a time of hope and great joy, but for many, it is also a time of sadness and a reminder of loss. For those who are grieving this Christmas, the "Blue Christmas" service of worship will be Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary at University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill. www.universityumc.church
